TodoGenie - Shoplist To Cart Installation Guide

This guide helps merchants install, enable, and validate TodoGenie on a Shopify storefront.

Prerequisites

• Shopify store admin access
• App installed on the store
• Permission to edit the published theme

Installation Steps

1. Open TodoGenie app dashboard in Shopify Admin.
2. Click Open Theme Editor.
3. In Theme Editor, open App Embeds.
4. Enable TodoGenie - Shoplist To Cart.
5. Save changes.
6. Open storefront preview.

First Validation Checklist

1. Confirm TodoGenie icon/menu appears in header.
2. Click icon and confirm widget opens near the trigger.
3. In Write mode, add 2 to 3 items and click Build Cart.
4. Confirm grouped results appear.
5. Click Add to cart for one product and verify cart update.
6. Click Add all on results screen and verify multiple items are added.

Recommended Merchant Settings

In App Embed settings, start with:

• Enable Scan: On
• Enable Say: On
• Enable Write: On
• Results page size: 12
• Enable load more: On
• Max list items per build: 20
• Show per-product add to cart: On
• Show floating add-all button: On
• Anchor widget to menu icon: On

Mode Usage Notes

• Write mode: Best for quick testing and highest reliability.
• Say mode: Requires browser microphone permission.
• Scan mode: Requires camera/file permission and image clarity for best extraction.

Troubleshooting

1. Widget not visible on storefront: Confirm app embed is enabled and theme changes are saved.
2. Icon is visible but widget does not open: Hard refresh storefront and check app embed is active on current theme.
3. No products in results: Confirm store has active products and try broader item keywords.
4. Add to cart fails: Confirm product has purchasable variants and is available on Online Store channel.
5. App embed deep link errors: Open Theme Editor App Embeds directly and enable TodoGenie manually.

Operational Best Practices

1. Keep Write mode enabled for fallback in all stores.
2. Start with smaller page size for large catalogs, then tune based on performance.
3. Keep max items per build limited to avoid long waits on slower stores.
4. Review behavior on both desktop and mobile before publishing.
